Texas statutory notary fees
The State of Texas caps what any notary may charge for the notarial act itself. These maximums come from Texas Government Code §406.024, as published by the Texas Secretary of State. Every notary in Texas works under the same caps.

Everything else

Why is there a travel fee?
Texas caps the fee for the notarial act itself, and those per-signature fees are small. The travel fee covers the mobile part: driving to you, scheduling, wait time, and after-hours availability. It is quoted before you book.
Is the quote binding?
Yes. The all-in quote you approve before booking is the price for the job as described. If the job changes at the appointment, extra signers or documents for example, the price is updated and confirmed with you first.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment options are confirmed when your appointment is booked, and the total is agreed before the notary travels. You will never be asked to pay more than the quoted amount for the job as described.
Are notary fees set by law?
Partly. Texas Government Code §406.024 caps the notarial act fees, and the Secretary of State publishes the schedule. Travel fees for mobile service sit outside that schedule, which is why we disclose the full amount upfront.
