What is a Notary?

The total cost will generally consist of a service fee and a notarization fee. Example for one document: $55 service fee + $10 notarization = $61.

Taking acknowledgments or proofs: $10.00 for the 1st signature & $1 for each additional signature per document

Certificates & Seals to a Protest: $4.00
Administering an oath or affirmation: $10.00
Swearing a witness for a deposition: $10.00
Certifying a photocopy: $10.00
Providing an uncertified copy from an entry to a notary public’s record book: $.50 per page

ID Requirement:  All signers, including witnesses, must present a current Driver’s License or US passport. If you do not have those, you may use a state or federally-issued ID, including name, address, photo, and signature. This is required by Texas law and is not at the discretion of the notary.
